Headlines Are The Peer Pressure Reading

Headlines might be the most important part of getting a readers attention.  This is mostly true for print media.  The internet can more easily use images along with a headline to get a readers attention.  I am going to show some examples of images used with headlines to get the readers attention.

Headline:
The Best Reason To See Interstellar: It’s Part Of A Dying Breed Of Film

The screen shot from the film makes the headline stand out.  The shot of the ship in space above a planet with a Black hole in the distance is visually stunning.  They use the picture to show how amazing the visuals are in the movie.  In the article they discuss the old and new technology used to make the movie.

Now I am biased to this headline having seen the movie, but it was an amazing movie.

Headline:
52 Of The Most Widespread Myths And Misconceptions, Debunked

The image they used shows a sample of the myths and misconceptions to get you interested.  The article explains the image.

Editing Mistake:
    Taken From: Gizmodo.com

Article Name: How Corporate Greed Is Trying To Kill Apple Pay

Mistake: They have a list with two “or” in it “CurrentC, Apple Pay, or Google Wallet, or whatever else comes down the line”.

Fix: Take out the “or” before “Google Wallet.”

  1. I like how you showed images with the headlines. I have been so focused on the writing aspect because of this class that I never realized that there is a whole other dimension involved with the images.
